Surprise! Games

A random team is chosen to go first. A student presses the STOP button to see what point value they can earn if they get the question correct. Watch out for the monster squares or the team may lose their points! Students will have a blast trying to get the high scoring squares and avoid the monsters and won’t even realize they are learning!
Choose up to 6 teams or players and set a timer so that the games ends exactly when you want.

This game works with both multiple choice question sets and words lists.

Fun Ways to Play

Whole Class

If you have an interactive whiteboard in your classroom, this game makes for a fun, whole class review session. First choose the skill that you would like to review from the Choose Questions page. Then project the game onto your whiteboard. Split your class into up to 6 teams and have students come up one at a time to press the STOP button and answer a question.

Assign this game to students and they will be able to play it independently on devices in centers. This game works well for 2 players to compete to see who can get the highest score. To learn how to set up games for centers, please read the article entitled How to Setup Games for Students to Access in Class.

Small Groups

At your group table, you could use a laptop or tablet to play the game collaboratively with your group. If you have an interactive whiteboard, playing the game on your board will be very engaging for your students.

Therapy & Interventions

This game is a great tool to help keep your students motivated and engaged during your therapy sessions or interventions. You can choose a target from our skills library and play the game with your student.

Online Learning

Using your conferencing software such as Zoom for example, share your game screen and have students answer questions orally while you control the game. If you have a small group, you could take turns and give students mouse control so that they can interact with the game.

For more ideas on how to use the games with your students, please read the article Learn Many Ways to Use the Games with your Students.
